Update from Tuesday 5th November to present

Fishing was excellent at the beginning of week beginning 4 November, Messrs Whalen and Maloney had 7 fish on the Tuesday, with the best 25lbs and our biggest fish so far this year. Bill Cook, fishing as a guest, had an excellent couple of days too, with 2 salmon and a sea trout on 8 November, and 2 salmon the following day. Best was 16lb and the fish came from the Castlehaugh Cheek and Bridge pools.

Special mention and congratulations to Tom Barton, who, fishing with Shun Washiya, landed his first salmon at 7lbs. The fish was taken from the very top of the beat, at Maggy's Tail.

Walter Davidson, fishing on 11 November, took a nice fish of 10lb from the Rumbler and on the same day Andy McLaughlan took a 5lb fish from the Castlehaugh Cheek.

Mr Morrison, fishing on 13 November caught an 8lb fish from the head of the Rumbler.

More fish were caught by the co-owners over this period. If any guest has been 'missed out' on the above, do please let us know and we will rectify.

Pictures from guests are always welcome, please just send to cardronafishings@yahoo.co.uk

As of the 15 November, the water is now getting low again and is sitting at 10". Please try and be sensitive about wading, as some new redds have been observed in the gravelly pool tails - these areas should be avoided if possible to reduce disturbance.
